Using variables in a letter template

In letter templates you can use variables that Protiva automatically replaces with the correct details of the recipient, property or contract. This way you don't have to manually enter names or addresses for every letter.

Where to find this

  1. Go to Settings;

  2. Open the Custom letters page;
  3. Click an existing template to edit it, or create a new template.

How variables work

A variable is a code enclosed in double curly braces, for example {{tenant_name}}. When Protiva composes a letter, it replaces each variable with the actual value for that recipient or property. You can use variables in both the letter body and the email subject line. The letter body is written in Markdown formatting.

Available variables

Below the letter body text field, Protiva displays the full list of available variables. Copy the desired variable — including the double curly braces — and paste it in the appropriate place in your text or subject line.
